1. Description of Services
Morriss Lawn Service LLC provides professional lawn care and property maintenance services, including grass cutting, weed whipping, edging, and seasonal maintenance. Our primary service area includes the Southeastern Michigan region but is not limited to it.
Standard grass cutting. When you request grass cutting (one-time, monthly, or seasonal), the quoted cut price includes weed whipping around typical lawn edges, obstacles, and trim areas as part of that visit. There is no separate weed-whipping add-on charge on the Site. Optional services such as edging or spring cleanup may be priced separately when selected.
Our website and supporting systems (including API communications) are designed to help new and existing customers easily:
- Request and manage lawn care services
- Schedule appointments and receive reminders
- Maintain accurate service history and preferences
- Communicate securely with our team
2. Information We Collect and Retain

We do not collect or store checking account numbers, bank routing information, or complete credit/debit card details. All payments are processed securely through trusted third-party payment providers.
We may also collect limited technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and general usage patterns) to maintain Site security, improve performance, and enhance the customer experience.

4. Data Security and Retention
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. While we work hard to maintain strong security, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure.
Your information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide ongoing services, maintain service history for repeat customers, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your username
6. Service Requests, Scheduling, Property Access, and Cancellations
Service Requests and Scheduling
Customers may request regular service visits for Monday through Friday only through the Site (estimate form, My Account, and schedule self-service). Saturday is reserved for weather-related make-ups and overflow and is not available for customer booking or self-service scheduling. Service dates are subject to confirmation and route availability. We will make every effort to accommodate your preferred weekday and time window; however, actual service dates may be adjusted due to weather, crew availability, or other operational factors. We will communicate any changes promptly.
Property Access
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to your property on the scheduled service date. This includes unlocking gates when necessary, securing pets, and clearing obvious obstacles that could interfere with equipment. We are not responsible for delays, rescheduling, or incomplete service caused by restricted access or undisclosed property conditions.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
We kindly request at least 24 hours’ advance notice for cancellations or date changes. Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in service fees or suspension of future booking privileges. Cancellation of prepaid one-time, monthly-cycle, or full-season service is also governed by Section 7D (Refunds).
7. Payments and Billing
You agree to pay for services according to the rates quoted or shown for your account and the payment method you select on the Site (including Venmo, cash at service, or card payments processed by Square when offered). Quoted totals may include ordinary business costs built into the price; we do not show a separate card-fee line to customers. We never store full card numbers or bank account credentials on our servers.
Promo or discount codes (for example, neighbor thank-you codes) are optional, may be limited to one use, may expire, and may be refused or revoked in cases of error, fraud, or abuse. Entering a code on How to Pay authorizes us to reduce the amount due for that payment when the code is valid for your account.
You may pay and reserve service outside the active mowing season. Off-season and prepaid payments are subject to Sections 7C and 7D.
7A. Intro Pricing, Seasonal Prepay, and Neighbor Referrals
Intro discount. New-customer intro pricing (typically −$5 per cut) applies for twelve (12) months from your first paid cut, subject to any published grandfathering for the current mowing season. After that window, intro pricing ends for pay-as-you-go service. We may email you about thirty (30) days before intro pricing ends.
Seasonal prepay. If you prepay a full-season subscription, you may keep a −$5 per-cut seasonal discount for that prepaid season as described on your quote, even after intro pricing has ended.
Neighbor referrals. You may refer a neighbor by sharing your customer number (CUST-) and phone. When a referred neighbor completes five (5) paid cuts on our route, we may unlock a one-time fifteen-dollar ($15) thank-you discount for the referrer, usable with a promo code we provide on How to Pay within ninety (90) days of unlock (unless we grant an earlier unlock or deny a code for cause). One reward per referred neighbor; rewards do not create ongoing commission. We may log referral links, paid-cut counts, unlocks, redemptions, and admin overrides to operate the program fairly.
7B. Spring Cleanup — Scope of Work and Soft Estimates
When you request a spring cleanup through the Site, you are requesting a one-time seasonal property reset. Soft estimates shown online are based primarily on measured lawn size for a typical winter debris load and are not a final guaranteed bid until we confirm conditions.
Included in a standard spring cleanup (unless we agree otherwise in writing):
- Removal of winter leaves and loose debris from the lawn and primary landscape beds
- Pickup of sticks and small branches on open lawn and bed surfaces
- Light bed tidy (surface debris; not a full weed-out or bed redesign)
- Blow-off of driveway, walks, and patio edges related to the cleanup
- Haul-away of a normal residential debris load associated with the job
- The first grass cut after cleanup is complete
Not included (quoted separately if requested): large limbs or storm wood; multi-trailer or unusually heavy leaf volumes; full bed weeding or cultivation; mulch installation; hedge/bush trimming; tree work; power washing; grading; or work behind unsafe or inaccessible areas.
Soft estimates. Online spring cleanup prices are soft ranges or mid estimates generated from property size. Heavy debris, dense trees, access limits, or extra haul-away may increase the final price. We will confirm any material change before starting work. By checking the acknowledgment box on the estimate form when requesting spring cleanup, you confirm that you have reviewed this scope and understand the soft-estimate nature of the price.
Ongoing weekly, monthly, or full-season mowing is a separate service from spring cleanup unless both are selected on your estimate.
7C. Mowing Season and Off-Season Prepaid Service
Our standard mowing season generally runs from April 15 through October 7 each year (dates may adjust slightly for weather or route needs). Weekly cuts typically fall within that window.
Off-season join and pay. You may create an account, accept a quote, and pay outside the active season. Doing so reserves your place on our route for the upcoming season. Prepaid mowing for the next season generally begins on or about April 15 (or the next available confirmed route date after season opens), not before, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Paying early does not create an obligation for us to cut before season opens. By paying off-season (or acknowledging the off-season notice on How to Pay), you confirm that you understand when service starts and that refunds, if any, follow Section 7D.
7D. Refunds — One-Cut Fee and 30-Day Rule
We want a fair policy: you are not overcharged for changing plans early, and we are not left holding an empty route slot that blocked another customer.
A) One-Time-Cut fee retained. If you cancel prepaid service (a measured one-time cut, a prepaid monthly cycle, or full-season prepaid), we retain a non-refundable fee equal to one measured one-time cut for your property — the same per-cut price shown on your quote (for example, $55 if that is your measured cut price). If you paid only that one-cut amount, the retained fee equals the full payment. If you prepaid a season (or other amount larger than one cut), we keep that one-cut fee and, when a refund is otherwise allowed below, refund the remainder.
B) Thirty (30) calendar days before the first cut.
- If we receive your written cancellation / refund request by email 30 or more calendar days before your first scheduled cut date, you may receive a refund of amounts paid minus the one-cut fee in (A).
- If fewer than 30 calendar days remain before your first scheduled cut, there is no automatic refund option. Any exception requires negotiation and written documentation of the request by email (phone-only requests are not sufficient for refund decisions).
Send refund or cancellation requests to info@morrisslawnservice.com (or another address we designate) and include your name, service address, customer or estimate reference if you have one, and the reason for the request. Approved refunds are returned by a reasonable method we choose (typically the original payment channel when practical). Timing depends on the payment provider.
